Caught Tori twice in Boston on the Dew Drop Inn tour in May at the Wang Center. Both shows I saw were excellent, "Baron" being the highlight.

It's indeed Dutch. First time I listened to this song on the album I was a bit surprised by that.

God I miss scrunchie Tori who didn't give a fuck what she looked like and just played and sang, fearlessly. I guess it happens, life catches up, frightens you into yourself. But this woman, IMO, was much better raw.

I was at this concert and I think this is from the same bootleg VHS tape I bought. Pretty decent considering this was before the days of HD video capabilities on everyone's phones. I attempted to record Sarah McLachlan in OKC on the 'Surfacing' tour (I chickened out + I had a Hi-8 camcorder @ the time which was pretty tough to conceal). Nowadays, you don't even need to go to a concert (even in your own city). Just wait for someone to post the second after the last encore AND in hi-def. Those days are long gone.

She's notorious for oddball choices for live song versions and covers. That's been my only negative comment about her music. Although i could imagine as a singer/pianist that she probably gets tired of her usual routine ways of performing her popular songs.

I saw her in OKC some time after this or in early '97. Does anyone know the name of the guy who opened for her? He played by himself with an electric guitar, but for the life of me I can't remember his name. He was great, though.

I love the more recent versions of this song, but they don't have the Dew Drop Inn prickliness that this version has.
